I have done many events like the Tough Mudder with my clients. A local newspaper decided to contact me in order to conduct an interview regarding my experience with Tough Mudder events.

Irvine Mud Run – Spartan Run

Posted by on Jan 18, 2013 in Blog, Events | 0 comments

Last year I had the privilege to meet Mack. He was very hyped on these events that would put his training to the challenge. He introduced me into events like the Tough Mudder, Spartan Run and other events that challenges your strengths and dominates your weaknesses. It combines sub zero water, thick mud, and only a few 15 foot walls all within the first few miles. If this doesn’t sound like fun to you, try doing it in a ostrich costume.

I have completed two tough mudders and plan on taking on the Super Spartan, January 26 2013.

This event I will be taking the journey by myself to see the limits I can push myself too. All we need is that little push.

Fundraising and Having a Great Time

Posted by on Jan 18, 2013 in Blog, Events | 0 comments

I am running a Triathlon with Team in Training (TNT) because my friend Hima asked me to help with this important fundraising event. Since I’m already planning to do a Super Spartan, I decided to have some fun!

http://www.spartanrace.com/socal-obstacle-racing-super-spartan-2013.html

It’s 11 miles and many challenging obstacles that challenge the athlete both mentally and physically but ill be doing it riding a ostrich. I will do this event (Spartan run in the costume below. if I can raise $600 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Center) Happy holidays everyone.

New Years Resolutions- Fitness

It all started when I admitted my defeat.
Following this admission, I completed a two and a half hour long workout that consisted of the following exercises:
  • Sleds
  • Kettle Bells
  • Squat Racks
  • Push or Pull that for X meters
  • Lunging, jumping and crushing my body into submission
This intense workout was exactly what I needed to jump start my new approach to achieving my fitness goals.
All I needed was to get out of my normal routine and my comfort zone. I just needed someone to push, challenge and motivate me.
Today, I challenge you to do the same. Step outside of your normal routine and comfort zone and find that person who pushes, challenges and motivates you.
This shift in thinking reminds me of a quote:
“There is a strange subculture that equates pain and suffering with a positive outcome: we call them athletes.”
I hope that after reading this you will try to change something in your normal routine. Instead of working out inside today, work out outside. Challenge yourself by adding a new component to your workout.
I am stronger because of it!
